About BPC-157

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide studied in preclinical models of cellular protection and tissue stress-response. This format comes pre-dissolved with the Protixa ION System in a 15 mL metered nasal spray, so no reconstitution is needed. It is synthesized in San Diego, California, with a third-party COA on every batch.

What is BPC-157?

BPC-157, short for Body Protection Compound-157, is a synthetic pentadecapeptide based on a partial sequence first identified in human gastric juice. It is one of the most widely studied research peptides in tissue-integrity and stress-response literature.

Most of the published work uses cell systems and animal models, and controlled human data remain limited. Findings should be read within a preclinical framework.

Mechanism of action (research only)

In laboratory models BPC-157 does not behave like a classic single-receptor agonist. Studies instead describe activity across several linked signaling systems, which is why it is often called pleiotropic.

Structure and stability

A 15-amino-acid fragment that is unusually stable in gastric fluid and other harsh test environments. That stability lets researchers observe pathway interactions over longer experimental windows.

Nitric-oxide signaling

The most consistently reported observation is an interaction with nitric-oxide pathways, which makes it a common subject in studies of endothelial behavior and vascular tone.

Angiogenic and vascular pathways

In-vitro and animal studies examine its relationship with growth-factor pathways involved in new vessel formation and microcirculation under stress conditions.

Research applications

All observations below come from controlled preclinical settings, meaning cell studies and animal models. They are not clinical outcomes.

Connective-tissue models

Tendon, ligament and muscle models studying extracellular-matrix organization and cell migration.

Vascular and microcirculation research

Markers of endothelial signaling and localized circulation in non-clinical systems.

Gastrointestinal and mucosal models

Given its gastric origin, a frequent subject of studies on mucosal tissue and gut-lining signaling.

Inflammatory and oxidative-stress signaling

Cytokine activity and cellular stress-response pathways under controlled challenge conditions.

Laboratory handling & safety

Good practice

  • Use sterile technique and SOPs suited to your model
  • Record batch numbers, storage conditions and preparation
  • Keep the COA with your study records
  • Store and dispose of material per institutional programs

Safety considerations

  • PPE. Lab coat, nitrile gloves and eye protection.
  • Engineering controls. Minimize aerosols. Use a fume hood or biosafety cabinet where required.
  • Exposure. Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin or eyes.
  • Spills. Use PPE and institutional spill procedures, and avoid dry sweeping.
  • Disposal. Follow local regulations and hazardous-waste protocols.

Certificate of analysis & quality

Every batch ships with a certificate of analysis from an independent laboratory. It confirms identity by mass spectrometry and purity by HPLC, and lists the batch number, test date and methods used.

Certificates are published on this page and in the Lab & COAs library. Contact support@reinpep.com if you need documentation for audits or internal records.

What are typical delivery times?

Orders placed before 2pm ET ship the same business day. Free 2-day shipping applies to orders over $200. You get tracking by email as soon as the label is created.

How should this product be stored?

Keep the spray refrigerated at 2–8 °C, upright, capped and away from light. Do not freeze.

Is it stable during shipping?

The Protixa ION formulation is shipped in insulated packaging. Stability data are being published and will appear on the Protixa ION page.

What is the shelf life of an unopened product?

The best-by date is printed on the label and on the batch COA.

What are your bulk ordering options?
